Archbishop Silvano Tomasi Celebrates Mass at Holy Rosary Church on Palm Sunday; Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero Welcomed by Italian American Community

On Palm Sunday, Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, the Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations in Geneva, celebrated the Italian Mass at Holy Rosary Church in Washington

D.C.  Archbishop Tomasi is the brother of Fr. Lydio Tomasi, pastor of Holy Rosary Church.

Also attending the Mass were Italian Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero and his wife Laura Denise Bisogniero.  A welcome reception was held afterwards at Casa Italiana.  Bisogniero addressed parishioners and guests, praising the contributions of Italian Americans, and in particular the Casa Italiana Language School for its support in promoting the Italian language and culture.
