On October 13, 2014, the National Christopher Columbus Association and the National Park Service together with the Italian and Spanish Diplomatic Corps and the Lido Civic Club of Washington, DC, and NIAF, will host a Columbus Day Ceremony at the Christopher Columbus Memorial Plaza across from the Union Station. The ceremony begins at 10:45 am, with a musical prelude by “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, and the presentation of colors by the United States Joint Armed Forces Honor Guard, and the presentation of the historical flags of the United States by the Knights of Columbus Color Corps.
