Dear Friends,

We cannot physically pick up the pieces of the broken town, Amatrice, which suffered an earthquake last week. But we can join over 600 chefs across the world to provide a dinner of Spaghetti all’Amatriciana with wines from Italy’s most renowned wineries and together provide for them to rebuild.

Italy is in my heart. I spent my formative years in a little town very similar to Amatrice. I can vividly imagine what these poor people are facing. This situation deeply saddens me, and I want to do more than just pray for them. We hope you’ll join with i Ricchi to support this devastated area and bring them hope together with the immediate essentials they need to begin rebuilding. Please help us spread the word. Invite your family and friends to join with us in this effort. Proceeds will go to ItalianAmericanRelief.org.

Join us at I Ricchi this Friday, September 9, 2016 at 5:30 pm.

Dear Friends,

Acclaimed DC chef and owner Chris Ricchi of Ristorante I Ricchi will join with over 600 Italian chefs to host a fundraiser on their piazza to support the victims and affected areas of the recent devastating earthquake in central Italy. To pay homage to Amatrice, the “city of Papal chefs,” they will serve the dish for which it is best known, Spaghetti all’ Amatriciana, together with wines from Italy’s most renowned wineries and live music.

The response of their suppliers has been extraordinary, so you will also be able to enjoy Italian delicacies! They have received donations from Cibo Divino, International Gourmet Foods, Bindi, San Pellegrino, Castello Banfi, Don Ciccio e Flli., Bacchus Wine Importers, Lux Wines and many more.

The fundraiser will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 5:30pm – 10:00pm at I Ricchi (1220 19th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036). The proceeds will be donated to the Italian American Relief Fund and tickets for the event can be purchased here.

We encourage our members to attend what is sure to be an eventful evening and show your support for our beloved Madre Patria.

Yours in Partnership,

John M. Viola
