The new Administration has brought onboard a number of officials of Italian heritage, whose role, like many others is to reshape the Executive Branch and dismantle agencies
At the U.S. Department of Justice, Attorney General Pam Bondi, former Attorney General of Florida, has been busy purging Justice employees who have been identified as enemies of the President or perceived loyalists to the prior administration. Bondi’s great grandparents Calogero Bondi and Teresa Cagnina were born in Campania, Italy.

At the FBI, across the street from the Main Justice building, the President selected Dan Bongino, as its Deputy Director, an activist and podcaster, to help dismantle the FBI as it is now constituted.
Blocks away, the USAID was the first agency to be dismantled under the leadership of Pete Marocco . Thousands of employees and contractors have been removed and USAID has been assimilated under the Department of State.


Frank Bisignano, a successful business executive, has been nominated to head the Social Security Administration, an agency which is in the eye of a storm as the administration seeks to reduce the federal deficit.
