The Lido Civic Club of Washington, DC, the oldest Italian American organization in our nation’s capital, will honor Dr. John P. Rosa with the Public Service Humanitarian Award at the Club’s annual Past Presidents Night Gala on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Hilton in McLean, Virginia.
“For decades Dr. Rosa has been a leader in chiropractic and integrative medicine and a prominent voice in the country’s Opioid Crisis,” said NIAF Chairman Robert E. Carlucci. “We are honored to have him on the NIAF Board and proud of his many accomplishments. We salute him as he receives this much-deserved honor.”
Rosa owns and supervises ABC Management, which is comprised of 21 integrative health clinics in Maryland and Virginia that sees over 60,000 patient visits per year. Accessible Beltway Clinics (ABC) Clinics combine medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture and behavioral medicine to give a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to pain syndromes and musculoskeletal disorders. Additionally, he’s active in sports medicine with consulting and treating college, professional and Olympic athletes. Rosa is also the founder of Accessible Wellness Solutions – an onsite corporate wellness program offering consulting, lectures and management of onsite clinics.
Rosa is also a nationally recognized expert in the Opioid Crisis and has been tapped as a White House Surrogate/Consultant, a Law Enforcement Consultant (Homeland Security, CBP, DOJ, DEA and Postal), a state and national consultant to Opioid Task Forces, and is currently forming the Opioid Abuse Prevention Institute.
In addition to Rosa’s professional contributions, he is a dedicated philanthropist serving as a Trustee of Northeast College of Health Sciences for over 15 years and served his final 3-year term as Chairman of the Board. He is current Chair of the Board to Maryland University of Integrative Health. He’s also a board member of the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), founded “Overdose Free America”, volunteers at Crossroads Freedom Center in Maryland, a residential facility in Maryland to help overcome addiction, and is intimately involved on the board of an orphanage started by his father in Bellona, Italy. Rosa has been a proud member of the Lido Civic Club since 2004 and served on the advisory board for the Clemson University Italian Language Program for several years. Moreover, Rosa is a Knight of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George. The order dates back to the Emperor Constantine and is considered one of the most ancient among the Orders of Knighthood and is dedicated to the propagation of faith and service to humanity.
