Darfur Women Action Group (DWAG) and notable DC based organization Italians in DC (IDC) will be hosting Stars for Darfur to raise funds to support DWAG’s work for genocide victims in Sudan.

All proceeds will be used to help relieve the humanitarian crisis.

Stars for Darfur will feature a number of outstanding artists and musicians, including the organizers Tony Esposito and Mark Kostabi.
Prominent Sudanese musician Ibrahim Sunata and the music group I MusiChianti will be performing as well, along with Mark Kostabi’s brother, Paul Kostabi.

The auction will feature handmade crafts from women artists in Darfur and the proceeds will be invested back into their communities.

These artists and musicians have all joined hands to support DWAG’s efforts to advance human rights and women’s rights in Darfur and around the world.
Doors for Stars for Darfur will open at 5:00 pm and close at 10:00 pm on Saturday, May 4th. The event will be held at the Elevate Club on 15 K Street NE, Washington DC 20002. Tickets cost $10 online and $15 at the door.
