Andrea Orlando
Italian Justice Minister Andrea Orlando, who is in Washington DC to participate in the EU-US meeting on justice and Home Affairs (JHA), met today with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. At a press conference, Orlando noted the close collaboration between Europe and the U.S. on cyber crime, organized crime, and terrorism. Orlando expressed, however, Europe’s concerns over privacy rights. More importantly, Orlando noted that collaboration across the Atlantic was a “pilastro fondamentale” for global security.
