Cardinal Tomasi is the brother of Fr. Lydio Tomasi, a former Pastor of Holy Rosary Church; together they founded the Center for Migration Studies, a think tank based in New York.  Cardinal-select Tomasi, who often celebrated Mass at Holy Rosary Church, was also a frequent visitor at Casa Italiana.
