Angelo Puglisi

Angelo Puglisi

The Italian-American Community in Washington, D.C., mourns the passing on October 24, 2018, of Angelo Puglisi a long-time supporter of the Casa Italiana Sociocultural Center and Holy Rosary Church.  He was 93 years old.  Angelo, as he liked to be called, was an active member of the Lido Civic Club for 62 years. He was a member of the Abruzzo and Molise Heritage Society – even though he was Sicilian – and was a member of the Sons of Italy International Lodge since its founding. He was also a life-long supporter of the National Italian American Foundation, and the list goes on. Angelo had friends throughout the Washington power corridor, in the business world, and beyond. At the end of the day, though, Angelo always said that he came to Casa Italiana and Holy Rosary Church to be with his “own kind,” just as his parents had done when they arrived to Washington at the turn of the century. Yet, despite his astounding success, Angelo was a humble man. Our prayers are with Angelo and his family. May he rest in peace.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:
